Owl Clan beginnings and where we are today.....Forever growing and learning!

Our history and growth

Owl clan started out as my brain child (Tuska bok Tuklo, warrior that walks rivers), I started with 4 people and taught Celtic shamanism along with some witch craft. I teach because I believe the world needs more shamans. Those that can bring back the old ways of healing and create peace.

I have always been nature's child and I am a retired Army SFC, so the name Tuska bok Tuklo was given to me by a Choctaw warrior shaman who is in our clan now and is a clan Elder. The spirits guided him to my name and I wear it proudly.

We now teach 3 levels of witch craft, 3 levels of Celtic Shamanism and 3 levels of Native Shamanism. Since our family has grown we have expanded our teachings. We are now teaching Haitian Voodoo, lead by our clan Father Ryan Taylor.

We hope to continue adding to our teachings as we gather folks who have the education and knowledge to teach them.

We lead with three Elders and Clan mother/father. We do teach leadership and have some in clan learning leadership so one day they will get a chance to lead as either Clan Mother or Clan Father.

We have leadership to help solve conflicts in the clan. We are all equals in this clan.

OUR SPIRIT

We are a community that invites all to join us and we are truly all inclusive. Any spiritual path is welcome as well as any religious path.

As a clan we treat each other with respect and we don't care about your political affiliation because we believe in open conversation with respect to each other. We believe in the constitution and the rights there not a political party. However if you are affiliated, you are an American and have a right to that.  We come together as a group of spiritual people and focus on that in our gatherings. We teach community and family with all paths. Our focus lies in two places Shamanism and witch craft. The first of the two being the larger focus.

We cherish, respect nature and all that it offers us.

FEEL THE VIBE

Our Core Ethics
By Randy Harter

Shamanic Code Of Ethics

Here are some ethical principles that we Shamans around the world strive to uphold, along with explanations of what each ethic means:

1. **Harm None** - Shamans aim to do no harm in their work. This includes avoiding actions that could cause physical, emotional, or spiritual harm to others, including clients, communities, and the natural world.

2. **Respect for Free Will** - Shamans respect the autonomy and free will of individuals. They do not impose their will on others or manipulate them against their wishes. Consent and voluntary participation in healing or spiritual practices are important.

3. **Confidentiality** - Shamans often work with individuals on deeply personal and sensitive matters. It is important for them to maintain the confidentiality of their clients and respect their privacy.

4. **Integrity and Honesty** - Shamans are expected to act with integrity, honesty, and transparency in their interactions with others. They should be trustworthy and truthful in their words and actions.

5. **Cultural Sensitivity** - Shamans should be aware of and respect cultural differences and practices. While they shouldn't misrepresent other cultures, it is the goal to make sure to learn from them.  We are all children under the same sun.

6. **Self-Reflection and Growth** - Shamans should engage in ongoing self-reflection, personal growth, and learning to better serve their communities and clients. They should be open to feedback and willing to continually improve their skills and practices.

7. **Service and Healing** - Shamans are often seen as healers and spiritual guides within their communities. They should approach their work with a spirit of service, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.

8. **Respect for Nature and the Spirit World** - Shamans typically have a deep reverence for nature and the spiritual realms. They should work in harmony with the natural world and the spirits, seeking to maintain balance and reciprocity in their relationships.

These principles are not exhaustive, and different shamanic traditions may have additional or slightly different ethical guidelines. However, the one thing to remember is:
When we focus on helping others, we are truly part of what makes life more beautiful.

**Code of Ethics for a Shamanic Warrior**

1. **Sacred Connection** - Honor the sacred connection to all living things, the Earth, and the spirit world. Recognize that every action taken in the physical world affects the spiritual realm and vice versa.

2. **Integrity** - Walk with integrity in both the spiritual and physical realms. Be truthful, authentic, and consistent in words and actions.

3. **Compassion** - Show compassion to all beings without judgment. Understand that true strength is found in the capacity to be kind and to forgive.

4. **Service** - Commit to the service of others, helping to heal, guide, and protect those in need. Place the welfare of the community and the natural world above personal gain.

5. **Wisdom** - Seek wisdom through continual learning and introspection. Make decisions based on insight gained from both the ancestors and personal experience.

6. **Courage** - Have the courage to stand up for justice, truth, and the protection of life, even in the face of adversity or danger. Fight only when necessary and as a last resort.

7. **Balance** - Strive for balance in all things. Understand the importance of harmony between action and inaction, giving and receiving, speaking and listening.

8. **Respect** - Respect the beliefs and practices of others, even if they differ from your own. Recognize that there are many paths to the sacred, and honor the diversity of spiritual expression.

9. **Stewardship** - Be a steward of the Earth and its resources. Protect the environment and promote sustainable living.

10. **Humility** - Approach all beings and situations with humility. Acknowledge your limitations and the fact that the shamanic path is a lifelong journey of growth and learning.

11. **Nonviolence** - Embrace the principle of nonviolence. Use physical force only in defense of life and justice, and always as a last resort.

12. **Self-Discipline** - Maintain self-discipline in personal practice, relationships, and in the pursuit of your mission as a Shamanic Warrior. This includes discipline in thought, emotion, and action.

13. **Accountability** - Take responsibility for your actions and their consequences. Be willing to admit mistakes and learn from them.

14. **Confidentiality** - Keep the confidences of those you help. Respect their privacy and the trust they place in you as a spiritual guide and healer.

15. **Spiritual Connection** - Dedicate time for your own spiritual growth and connection. A Shamanic Warrior must be strong in spirit to effectively lead and heal others.

By following these ethical guidelines, a Shamanic Warrior can navigate the challenging path of leading and healing with honor, respect, and wisdom, while being prepared to defend justice and life when necessary.

COMMUNITY

How to become a member of Owl Clan

We in clan are very protective of the energy we share, we are also very protective of our sacred space. So we have a system we use for prospective members.

First you will need to reach out to me via email. Tell me about you, tell me what path you are currently on and what you hope to learn in Owl Clan.

Second I send you some documents that explain the rules, etiquette and our learning paths you can participate in. If you feel like this is something you would like to participate in then you simply email me back letting me know you want to move onto the next step.

Third we do a face to face meeting via the internet. We can chose Skype, google meets or even Facebook messenger for the meeting.

Fourth all the information I have about you goes forward to the Elders and we vote on your membership.

Fifth I send you a welcome email and put you in all of our chats on Facebook messenger (we may be moving to google spaces), I include you on our Facebook page that is hidden and completely private, only members are allowed on it.

FYI, there are no dues required for Owl clan. We teach for free because it is our way of giving back to the community. All we ask is at the end of each course you take, you provide a small gift (from the heart)  to your teacher to show appreciation and respect for their time.
